Dear Citizens, Friends and Neighbors,
The 2012 Utah Legislative Session has concluded. The 10 year redistricting process has also been completed. In the coming election, we will exercise our right to vote and again decide who will represent us at all levels of government. Much of District 48 (Sandy/Draper) where I currently serve as the elected Representative has been modified and merged into our newly expanded District 32. Over the past several months, I have held town meetings and enjoy meeting individually with the citizens in our new District.
I am dedicated to serving you and am firmly committed to our Constitution. We must address the many encroachments upon our liberty and state sovereignty by the Federal Government. As Ronald Reagan so wisely stated, “The Government has taken too much of the people’s money, too much power from the states and too much liberty with the Constitution.” The steady stream of federal mandates and runaway deficit spending coming out of Washington is unsupportable and the wrong approach.
The economy and individual challenges which have affected everyone over the past several years and especially the loss of jobs by so many, the education and well-being of our children, marriage and family, energy and economic development, protecting our fundamental Constitutional rights and, ultimately, limiting the proper role of government – these are vital concerns in the coming election. Together, we can truly make a difference and do much good for our State.
Please share with me your views and concerns and the issues that matter most to you and your family. You can call me at 801-572-9878 or 801-550-1040 or email me. Please also visit the link at www.citizensforprincipledgovernment.com and “A Call to Good Citizens Everywhere”.
My commitment to you is to provide principled, diligent, effective and compassionate service for the good of Utah. When I was elected, I promised that I would take your values with me to the Legislature every day. I have never lost sight of that commitment. With your support, I will continue to stand up and be the voice of your values.
Thank You,
LaVar Christensen
