-Dear Citizens of District 48,

We will soon exercise our right to vote and again decide who will represent us at all levels of government both state and federal. These are hard times that call for the very best in each of us. Our children and grandchildren are counting on us to protect their future just as our parents and grandparents safeguarded and gave to us a bright and beautiful tomorrow.

As the Republican candidate for the Utah House of Representatives, I am dedicated to serving you. Over the coming weeks, I will be holding several meetings throughout our District. These meetings will include a strong focus on our Constitution and how to deal at the State level with the many encroachments upon our liberty by the Federal Government. As Ronald Reagan so wisely stated, “The Government has taken too much of the people’s money, too much power from the states and too much liberty with the Constitution.” The steady stream of federal mandates and runaway deficit spending coming out of Washington is unsupportable. More taxes and more government is the wrong approach and the timing couldn’t be worse for the tax increase that’s coming in January under the Obama Administration and the current Democrat majority in Washington.

The individual challenges of a down economy and the loss of jobs by so many, the education of our children, marriage, family, our strong Utah values and our State’s rights under the Constitution – these are the vital principles and priorities that are at stake in this year’s election.
